Job Description

The Associate Manager assists in the management of the restaurant operations for a specific location. They are responsible for achieving planned sales and budgeted profit levels for the restaurant through the implementation, management, and upholding of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and operational excellence performance standards.

As a member of the management team, the Associate Manager assists in providing direction and motivation to the hourly partners, ensuring execution of all positions, chores and responsibilities in order to provide our guests with an exceptional experience and exceptional product quality. This position also helps to protect the brand by maintaining a sanitary, safe, respectful, efficient and quality work environment while effectively managing operational/product costs.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent communications, supervisory, and guest service skills
  • Good organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Computer literacy; comfortable with Microsoft Office Software
  • Some college preferred
  • Management Experience Required
  • One year of recent restaurant managerial experience preferred
  • Physical Requirements-
  • Extensive standing without breaks
  • Exposure to heat, smoke and cold
  • Reaching heights of approximately six feet and depths of approximately three ft.
  • Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided for periods of up to eight hours or longer as needed
  • Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times; bending, reaching and walking
  • Effective communication with guests and employees
  • Carrying trays of food products weighing approximately 20 lbs. for distances of up to 40 ft.
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
  • Ability  and willingness to take an order and input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
  • Ability and willingness to process and collect payments for guest checks  
  • Ability to maintain a balanced bank
  • Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Valid Certified Professional Food Manager Card preferred (obtainable upon employment)
  • Attend mandatory, quarterly, Responsible Vendor training meetings
  • Perform duties in accordance to manager manual, policy & procedures
  • Insure duties of employee's are performed in accordance to employee manuals, policy & procedures
  • Reliable transportation
